When I post a Facebook status about GLBT+ issues, it tends to get a good number of likes. Something weird that I’ve noticed is that when I post something about racism, it gets very few. There could be some explanations - posting it off-peak, the current chicken sandwich fiasco causing people to really care about GLBT+ stuff, too long of a status for people to want to read; but I can’t help but feel that people are just fine with racism and don’t find it particularly worthwhile to discuss. And that’s a problem.
